Eira is woven from 100% merino wool on a traditional loom in Allariz, a medieval town in the northwest of Spain, each throw made individually in a design that belongs to no other. The name draws from the fog-covered forests and rugged coast of Galicia — landscapes where the light arrives slowly and everything feels slightly ancient. The marbling in the wool is not a pattern applied to the surface; it is the nature of the fiber itself, drawn out by the hand at the loom. A limited edition piece. Unique.

The Maker

Inés Rodríguez founded RiR & Co. in Allariz — a medieval Galician town in northwest Spain — where she works at a traditional loom using merino wool, linen, silk, and alpaca. The work is rooted in the textile heritage of northern Spain, but Inés doesn't stop there. Her workshop is also a research studio: she has developed hypoallergenic fabrics woven from milk fiber and wool, and created silk-wrapped yarn threaded around optical fiber to produce luminescent textiles. A Gold Medal recipient of the European Textile & Craft Award 2026, she collaborates with universities and gives talks across Spain, returning to the loom each time with the same conviction — that every thread is a decision, and that patience is the material no one lists in the specs.
