Woven by hand from sun-dried Mallorcan palm, with cotton strips — salvaged from a vintage textile factory — worked into the body in crossing diagonal lines of cobalt and hot pink. The pattern moves the way its namesake does: fluid, vivid, unmistakable. Woven palm handles. No two are identical. Made at La Escuela Artesana in Mallorca.

The Maker

Antic Mallorca is Araceli Iranzo's project — born from a decision to leave a successful career as a publicist in Madrid for a slower life on Mallorca, and from an encounter there with Ses Madones de sa Llata, the island women who have harvested, sun-dried, and woven palm leaf by hand for generations. In 2009 she launched Antic Mallorca, fusing that traditional weaving with contemporary form and color. In 2021, alongside two of the artisans, she founded La Escuela Artesana — a weaving school that keeps the tradition alive not as heritage, but as practice. The bags are made there. So is the cap on every bottle of Slow Eau de Parfum.

Why We Chose It

These bags come from the same hands that weave the cap on every bottle of Slow Eau de Parfum. The same school, the same artisans, the same palm harvested and sun-dried on the island. Each piece is made at La Escuela Artesana — the weaving school founded to keep this tradition alive — and no two come out the same. The color, the pattern, the tension of every strip: unrepeatable. We chose them because they are the clearest expression of what we look for — objects where the making is the whole story.
