The Maker

Antonio Elósegui founded his workshop in Tolosa, in the Basque Country, more than 160 years ago. From the beginning, everything was made in-house — the merino wool fabric, the shaping, the finishing — which is how Elósegui berets earned their reputation for quiet, enduring quality. Today the Elósegui family continues to run their workshop in Tolosa, still using the same merino wool, still finishing every beret by hand. Some things don't need to change.
