Sculpted from recycled cotton cord and finished with recycled leather and varnished wood handles, the Vera is a bag you notice — and then can't stop noticing. Its geometry comes from a real place: the Mediterranean town of Vera in Almería, southern Spain, where fishing nets cast shadows across flat-roofed houses in the afternoon light. Structured yet relaxed, it carries a detachable crossbody leather strap, magnetic clasp, and an organic cotton lined interior — made to move with you. A collaboration between Studio Sommos and Marabara, exclusively in these hues.

The Maker

Rocío Sánchez built a career as an engineer before she made bags — and it shows. Her work has the precision of someone who understands structure, and the sensitivity of someone who cares deeply about what things feel like to hold. At a certain point, she made a deliberate choice to step away from the pace of her career and toward something slower, more intentional. Marabara began with a single bag, made for a wedding, that her friends couldn't stop asking about. She named the brand after her daughter Mara, born from a language game they played together. Today she works from a studio nestled in the sierra — the rugged mountain range just outside Madrid — making pieces that are unhurried, considered, and built to last.
